Bono and The Boys Fly on

Bono and the band has flown on. U2 came, saw and conquered in Denmark. But shortly after the Irish band left the stage in Horsens Monday evening, was Bono and the band out of the country.

The last  encore ‘Moment of Surrender’ had barely died away before U2 had left not only but also Horsens Denmark.  ( Industry term “Runner” – This happens in small venues that bands perform and everything is packed up and ready as the band leaves the stage their are moved quickly to a running car and off they go.)

“Beautiful Day” – and what a beautiful day! Distorted Space sounds, powerful guitar sound in the boiler of the AWD-Arena, mega-impact of the world stars U2 before 57 000 fans sold out!

Front man Bono is dancing on the outer ring of the gigantic spaceship stage: with typical cool sunglasses, black leather outfit. Fog, light explosion, hit fireworks. Crazy good, these Irishmen. Your superheated “360” show brings the stadium quickly to a boil. U2 rock Hannover!

And in the middle: President Christian Wulff (51, white shirt with no tie) and First Lady Bettina (36, black pantsuit know). Insider, Bettina Wulff is that for years a big fan of Bono – for his music, but also because of its commitment to Human rights and the environment. Wulff: “That’s why I have given her the inside cards for Christmas.” Half an hour before the show gave it a meeting behind the stage.

The cult Irish band U2 comes with its giant 360-degree tour today to Frankfurt. But transporting the Rundumbühne that looks like a giant octopus or a giant spaceship on four legs, are about 120 large tractors needed, the organizer Marek Lieberberg reported on Monday. “This is the biggest production that there has ever been in the Commerzbank-Arena.” U2 lead singer Bono, (50) just three months after his slipped disc is only the second time on stage again. The comeback world tour and the start of 2010 had celebrated the four musicians on Friday night before 45,000 fans in Turin, Italy.  Where three new songs have played. The  opening tonight  Frankfurt, the British rock group Kasabian.

Rehearsals today had a few more surprises, two new songs were rehearsed as well as a song that was performed about 17 years ago at the final ZooTV show 12/10/93 (U2gigs Database)

Sound checks started midday with no vocals which means that the bands crew could be playing.
