Killing Bono Video

We keep hearing about this movie that the title really does need to be changed however its a great story for those U2 fans that want to remember the early U2 days. Often looking back we can see how far the boys have really come from their home land to become the worlds greatest band.

Who is Memphis Mullen ? U2 Tour Across America

This is a dedicated U2 fan. It was decided last summer before Bono blew out his bac that Deena ( AKA Memphis Mullen) Dietrich would travel America with her dogs Elvis and Cilla ( which we can only guess that she is an Elvis fan too. Her mission to see all 16 shows. Well she’s back to do it 2011 style.

The trip is more than a story of a U2 fan traveling to see shows, its about living the U2 dream. Memphis will be meeting fans all across America taking photos, gathering your U2 story and sharing them with the world. Right now the biggest road block is finding a sponsor. The whole trip needs to have a sponsor since this will be her job for the summer. Interesting concept for promotional items. The average age of a U2 fan is right in the middle of the sweet spot. Anyway – Lets not get too carried away about the sponsor stuff. If you know of a company interested in a new marketing program that touches all social media. Contact the U2TOURFANS.com team – via the website. I think they have a good plan.

The first leg of the Elevation tour is over, and I am very sad. I drove up to New Jersey around 6:30pm Wednesday night and met Tasha at the hotel around 10pm. We got up early Thursday morning and were in the GA line at Continental Airlines Arena by 6:15am. I was number 30 in line. Tasha tried all day to get a GA, but couldn’t so she stayed in her seat behind the stage. I stood at the rail in front of Adam – again.

So you want to work for U2

Really if your thinking that this is the way to score a ticket to the U2 show in Moncton this summer. Think again. As easy as it might sound its not! Working a stage crew will require you to start each day at 5AM and finish around 10PM -Now if your lucky you may be asked to work day of show. However the chances of that happening are slim. What you will find out is that once the show is over you will be working to a empty stadium. But hey if that’s the only way your going to get near the claw, why not

With a roar that could rival the one seen last week in Tahrir square, Cairo, fans at the FNB Stadium last night gave U2 a rousing welcome.

But unlike the relief of Egyptians at President Hosni Mubarak’s exit from his position, fans here were celebrating seeing their favourite band playing in their own back yard.

And as lead singer Bono led the band up a stairway to the stage milking the applause and waving to all corners of the dimly lit cauldron, you knew why they’d sold over 150 million albums worldwide.

After the deafening welcoming screams, Bono wasted no time in belting out one of their biggest hits, Beautiful Day.

For another hit, I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, legendary trumpeter Hugh Masekela was called on stage – to yet another massive cheer.
